Fichet is one of Meursault's master winemakers, and he sources this Chardonnay from parcels in and around his home village, so it drinks like a junior Meursault for a small fraction of the price. Same hands-on farming, same patient 18-month elevage in mostly used wood and then tank, same restraint with lees stirring that keeps his wines racy and transparent. The 2024 is fresh and precise.
