Hébrart is a specialist in the great village of Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, where you find top spots like the Clos des Goisses and Selosse’s Sous le Mont. Hébrart has his own top wines, but we love this nonvintage blend. 82% Pinot Noir, from Mareuil-sur-Aÿ 1er Cru, Avenay Val d’Or 1er Cru, Bisseuil 1er Cru, and Hautvillers 1er Cru; 18% Chardonnay from Mareuil-sur-Aÿ 1er Cru. Aged four two years in bottle.

Robert Parker

90 points

"Disgorged in October 2019, the new release of Hébrart's NV Brut Cuvée de Réserve is showing nicely, exhibiting notes of crisp orchard fruit, fresh peach, orange oil and white flowers. Medium-bodied, fleshy and precise, with a pretty core of fruit that's framed by bright acids and complemented by a pillowy mousse, it would make for an immensely charming aperitif." —Robert Parker

Wine Spectator

92 points

"A mouthwatering Champagne that's finely balanced and carries rich notes of Honeycrisp apple, toast, lemon curd and glazed apricot on the lively mousse, while a streak of chalky mineral lingers on the finish."

Champagne

Champagne boasts some of the world’s greatest luxury brands with Krug, Cristal and, of course, Dom Perignon. But it’s also home to hundreds of small dynamic producers—farmers who grow their own grapes (often organically) and make (often with natural methods) tiny amounts of pure and absolutely delicious wine that reflect the individual personalities of their villages and terroirs. Toast with these wines, for sure. But also treat them like the great wines they are: taste, drink, explore!
