Grand Cru Burgundy from 100-year-old vines in the Maison Brûlée section of Clos Saint-Denis. Domaine Henri Jouan was founded in 1962; Philippe took over in 2004 as the fourth generation connected to these vines—his great-grandfather was a barrel cooper who first bought vines in Morey. The estate spans just 3 hectares, yielding minuscule quantities from ancient plantings. 100% destemming, gentle extractions, cool fermentations, and minimal new wood allow the venerable vines to speak. A long-standing 65-year collaboration with Joseph Drouhin spans multiple family generations.
