Presqu’ile Winery, a small family-operated domaine in Santa Maria Valley, is one of the fast rising stars in the region and all of California. Winemaker Dieter Cronje, a native of South Africa, made wine in the Southern Hemisphere and France before settling down in Santa Maria Valley to make what was closest to his heart: Pinot Noir. The winemaking is non-interventionist and light on the oak; the wines are bright with fruit, natural acidity, great structure and finesse.
