"The NV Moscatel Promesa is produced from Moscatel grapes grown in Chipiona and aged in a solera system with an average age of four years. It is bottled with 237 grams of sugar and 17% alcohol. It shows a dark amber color and shows the younger side of Moscatel with a complex nose of orange rind, honeysuckle, chocolate, coffee, flowers and spices, with well integrated aromas. The palate shows a dense, compact wine, full of spices and balsamic flavors, with the orange notes coming back in the long finish, managing to keep some freshness." -Robert Parker

VINIFICATION
The moscatel grapes are slowly pressed and allowed to begin the alcoholic fermentation naturally. The wine is then fortified to stop fermentation and retain some natural sugar.
AGING
Promesa is aged in the traditional system of criaderas and solera. The American oak barrels used for the aging are old barrels that were used to hold Amontillados and Olorosos giving Promesa added complexity. The minimum age of the wines that go into bottle are 4 years.
