From the Kirchenstück Grand Cru vineyard in Deidesheim, von Winning produces this 2023 dry Riesling classified as Grosses Gewächs. The estate's return to wooden-barrel fermentation under winemaker Stephan Attman has elevated the expressiveness of their Rieslings, capturing terroir complexity that stainless-steel fermentation often masks. The Kirchenstück represents one of the Pfalz's finest limestone-influenced sites, producing wines of remarkable mineral precision combined with fruit richness. This 2023 shows bright acidity, citrus and stone fruit, and the limestone minerality that defines the site.
