We are delighted to welcome Arthur Larmandier of Champagne Larmandier-Bernier from Vertus. Join us on Tuesday, October 20 at 6pm on our mezzanine to meet this Champenois with great charisma and impeccable style, who will guide us through an amazing Masterclass.
Vertus, located in the south of the Côte des Blancs, is a terroir with excellent southeast exposure. Unlike northern villages like Avize or Cramant, Vertus features both pure chalk on the hillsides and deeper, clay-rich soil at the bottom of the slopes. This gives the Chardonnay a richer, fuller texture, creating wines with the signature balance of crisp straightness and roundness typical of Vertus.
Since the 1990s, Larmandier-Bernier has been a leading advocate for biodiversity and soil health in Champagne. Pierre Larmandier was among the first to implement organic and biodynamic practices in the region, believing that quality, terroir-transparency, and lower dosage are earned in the vineyards. Today, his sons Arthur and Georges Larmandier maintain the family commitment to natural viticulture and continue to produce some of the region’s most compelling and delicious Champagnes. For the Larmandier-Bernier Masterclass, Arthur will take us on a tasting tour of his home village of Vertus and north through the Cote des Blancs, highlighting the family’s historic, chalk-ridden terroirs.
Experience great Blanc de Blancs champagnes, defined by a vibrant mineral tension and crystalline purity. Please join us on Tuesday, October 20 at 6pm on our mezzanine for a guided tasting and discover remarkably precise wines, where a low dosage reveals an intense salty minerality and a striking freshness on the palate.
Seating is limited. Tickets for this class are $50 and a $20 store credit will be issued with your purchase.
Cancellations can be processed for a refund with at least 48 hours' notice before the start of class. See all our policies here.
