We are delighted to host Jancis Robinson, legendary wine writer, critic, and educator for a talk, book signing, and tasting.
What: The new and expanded 9th Edition of the: The World Atlas of Wine, by Hugh Johnson, Jancis Robinson, and Julia Harding
When: Friday, October 9 from 5:30 to 7:30
Where: Flatiron Wines & Spirits 873 Broadway (on our mezzanine)
Cost: Tasting is $35, the Atlas is $75 or $60 with a ticket to the tasting.
Jancis has given us some of the best English-language wine writing of the last few decades on her website (Jancisrobinson.com), as the wine columnist at the Financial Times, and in indispensable books including “Wine Grapes” and “The Oxford Companion to Wine.”
But no wine book gets pulled off the shelf more often at Flatiron than The World Atlas of Wine. And the new 9th Edition is an essential update 18 new maps covering favorite Flatiron regions like the Côte des Bar, Valtellina, and Chianti Classico’s UGAs.
We can’t wait to open some of our favorite wines with Jancis and talk about them with her. Because, needless to say, above and beyond her writing chops, Jancis is an insightful and passionate taster. We’re picking wines together that come right out of the new pages of her Atlas.
We hope you can join us for this exceptional event on Friday, October 9 from 5:30 to 7:30 on our mezzanine. Seating is limited. Tickets for this signing session are $35 which includes a $15 credit towards purchase of the Atlas. The World Atlas is $75 (or $60 with the credit).
Cancellations can be processed for a refund with at least 48 hours notice before the start of class. See all our policies here.
