Passetoutgrain of rare quality

A Passetoutgrain from a producer like this is really a treat. A well-made, expressive wine. Previous vintage was more plush, but this has nice structure. Great red to serve with mild whitefishes like halibut or cod. Don’t recommend chilling this - would be a waste.

Everyday

Good wine - always want 3 or 4 bottles around. Easy to drink.

Frog’s Leap

Chardonnay is full bodied and crisp.

This wine was SO special! It was so clean, but the spiced notes still made it a strong pairing with a heavy lamb dinner.

Inves, Las Setas, 2023

Disappointed

Ordinary - in France this would be a 6 euro bottle - really not worth the money or the hype

Bad corks

The corks in both bottles were fractured and fell apart when opening the wine.

The wine was fine post decanting.

A solid 2016 Cote Rotie

A solid classic Cote Rotie, a bit tannic but consistent with the lieux dit

Not ready to drink.

It's at least 70% sangiovese, and it needs time. Unfortunately hard, even with dinner.

Hi Dennis,

Thank you so much for the honest feedback—we really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. You're absolutely right that young Sangiovese can often be a bit unforgiving, and we're sorry this one didn't deliver the enjoyment you were looking for at the dinner table.

We'd love to understand more about what you were hoping for and make this right. Please keep an eye out for an email from us in the next day or so.

Thanks again for being such a valued customer.

Won’t be drinking this for a couple of years but expecting a lot.

Top Rosso in my books. Fresh, shimmering Sangiovese...yum

Very nice loire rose….Will order again

A good wine

This is a quite wine. One to drink with friends or family. Not a wine to share on a speccial occasion but one with friends.

Great wines

The wines have consistently been excellent.

Too early to tell.

Like my Burgundy's with a little age so I won't know about these bottles for a while. Judging by what's for sale in your store, I trusted your choice of burgundies.

a great way to learn more about bubbly!

This is a great way to gain exposure to many different styles of champagnes and learn about the winemakers behind them. Highly recommended!

Good, casually drinkable. Unfussily good in the best sense of Spanish wine

This is a wine that is aging pleasantly, well made, easy to drink. It is a classic rioja, built for tapas then steak then perhaps cheese. Not a 'boss coming to dinner' wine, but definitely a 'whatever we are having for dinner. tonight, this'll be great' wine.
