André and Michel Quenard work 60 to 90-year-old vines on the southern edge of Chignin's steep limestone slopes, where grayish boulders cascade from the mountain above. The 2024 Vieilles Vignes is 100% Jacquère, a local varietal that thrives in this extreme terroir. Pale yellow and brilliant, the wine offers exotic fruit and white flower aromas alongside a mineral, round palate with persistent character. Harvested by hand and minimally sulfured, this wine carries the pristine salinity of its limestone-scree soils. This is high-altitude Alpine wine with both gravity and finesse.
