"Slightly riper aromas are composed by notes of petrol, various white orchard fruit and soft citrus nuance that continue onto the sleekly muscular and intense middle weight plus flavors that retain a lovely sense of detail on the firm, serious and sneaky long finale." —Allen Meadows

Antonio Galloni

"(Jobard lost 40% of the crop here as both his lowest and highest vines were affected by frost; he described this as the worst frost year in this cru since 1981): Ripe yellow fruits and spices on the nose; a bit less floral than the Blagny. Sappier than the Blagny, showing good citrussy energy and a savory quality. Nicely concentrated but less refined and elegant than the Blagny. Finishes a tad spiky and phenolic, in need of time to find its ultimate harmony." —Stephen Tanzer

Robert Parker

90 points

"The 2016 Meursault 1er Cru Poruzots comes from three parcels, although the lowest altitude plot was hit by the frost, so the quantity is 25% down. It has a well-defined, quite intense bouquet with yellow plum and light minty aromas, becoming more floral with time. The palate is medium-bodied with a saline entry, quite weighty in the mouth with a spicy, slightly compact finish. Fine." —Neal Martin
