More about Antoine Lienhardt

Antoine Lienhardt represents the fourth generation in Comblanchien (Côte de Nuits, Burgundy), taking over his family's 6 hectares in 2011 with sister Héloïse joining in 2017. He trained at Amiot-Servelle and elsewhere, then brought serious environmental conviction: organic certified 2019, now farming biodynamically. His wines come from old parcels worked with precision and respect. These are Burgundies that taste like they know exactly what they're made of.

Flatiron's Take

From the Importer

VineyardSix parcels location around the village of Comblanchien. Intended to show the beauty and complexity that comes with blending grapes from different soils, expositions, root stock and vine age (but averaging 60-70 years).OrientationMultiple parcels, exposure variesSoilClay-limestone soils of ComblanchienViticultureOrganically farmed, incorporating some biodynamic principles and minimal plowing so as to not disturb the soils. Strict debudding to limit yields and encourage good concentration. All grapes are picked and sorted by hand at harvestVinificationHarvested at optimum ripeness (always determined by consistent tasting in the vineyards), Whole cluster semi-carbonic maceration in stainless steel tank; indigenous yeast fermention. No sulfur added in vinificationAgingOne year of ageing in barrel, 10% of which is new. Touch of sulfur added at bottling.
