Single-vineyard Rosso from Montosoli, one of Montalcino's most celebrated crus—Baricci is the only estate with both vineyards AND cellar entirely within this legendary site. Founded in 1955 by Nello Baricci, who received badge #1 from the Brunello Consorzio as a founding member in 1967. His grandsons Federico and Francesco now continue. Nello Baricci was the first producer to get badge #1 when the Brunello Consorzio formed in 1967—a master of Sangiovese before most people even knew the word. His grandsons Federico and Francesco continue making wine from the only vineyard wholly planted in the Montosoli 'Grand Cru'—five hectares of cooler-climate Sangiovese that age in Slavonian oak with understated elegance. It's a lesson in terroir humility.
