Maison Camille Giroud has been a Beaune institution since 1865, originally famous for buying finished wines and aging them in its cellars to perfect maturity. Since an American consortium took over in 2001, the house has earned a new reputation under winemaker David Croix for precise, terroir-driven Burgundy. Les Longeroies is one of Marsannay's most respected lieux-dits, at the northern gateway to the Cote d'Or, giving a red of real structure and stony depth. The 2010 was a small, classically built vintage; at this age it is drinking in a mature, satisfying place.
