Cavicchioli & Figli created Vigna del Cristo in 1987 to celebrate the winery's 60th anniversary—and the wine has since earned Tre Bicchieri (Three Glasses) recognition from Gambero Rosso eleven times. The vineyard occupies 5 hectares in the Sorbara hamlet, just 200 meters from the Secchia River, where cool influences help preserve the acidity and floral character that makes this Lambrusco unique. Made 100% from Lambrusco Sorbara, the wine is the most acidic of all Lambrusco styles and displays the delicate, perfumed character Sorbara is known for. Expect pale purplish red with dusty pink froth—a wine built for oysters and fresh seafood.
