Château Gloria stands as an iconic reference in Saint-Julien, built by visionary Henri Martin through careful acquisition of vineyard plots from classified estates. The 2015 blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc, and 6% Petit Verdot strikes a balance between power and approachability. The nose shows lush blackberry and blueberry with iodine and crushed violet, while the medium-bodied palate displays supple tannins and pure fruit intensity. This is one of the more approachable Saint-Juliens of the vintage, opening gracefully now but improving for the next two decades.
