Romano Dal Forno is one of the Veneto's most exacting and obsessive producers, and his 'Nettare' is a rare sweet white made only in special vintages from dried Garganega (with a little Trebbiano), in the tradition of Recioto di Soave. This 'Nettare' is a back-vintage sweet white from a private collection, well into mature territory now. Three decades on, expect a dried-white-grape passito that has shed its youthful sweetness for layered notes of fig, dried apricot, coffee, and spice. Drink it now, with respect, as a meditation wine. Provenance from a private cellar.
