Mourvèdre and Grenache Noir from a 4-hectare vineyard laden with galets roulés (river rocks), this Danjou-Banessy red channels Roussillon's sunny Mediterranean soul through a biodynamic lens. Whole-cluster fermented, aged 12+ months in used barrels, and bottled with minimal sulfites and no fining or filtration, it strikes an elegant balance—soft tannins, dark fruit, and subtle floral notes without heaviness.

More about Danjou-Banessy

Brothers Benoît and Sébastien Danjou farm a family estate in the Côtes Catalanes, Roussillon's wild northern corner, where earlier generations made mostly sweet fortified wines. Benoît took over in 2001 and Sébastien, a former English teacher, joined a few years later; they were the first in the family to make dry still wines. Old bush vines of Grenache, Carignan, Mourvèdre, Macabeo and Muscat, organic and dry-farmed, native yeasts. Mediterranean sun, remarkable freshness.
