The namesake monopole of the house, the Clos de la Bousse d'Or is the walled premier cru in the village of Volnay that gives the domaine its name, owned in full by Pousse d'Or. This is as close to the estate's soul as you can get, a historic Volnay address farmed by Patrick Landanger's team since 1997. The 2005 is a benchmark structured vintage, built for the long haul, and at twenty years it should be drinking in a graceful mature stride with plenty of Volnay perfume and grip remaining. Pinot Noir, premier cru. Give it a decant.
