For decades the family leased its Gevrey holdings en metayage, most famously to Domaine Ponsot, who farmed and vinified the fruit and bottled a share under the Chezeaux label, often a near-identical wine for less. This village Gevrey-Chambertin from the strong, classically built 2010 vintage carries that pedigree. At 15-plus years it should be drinking beautifully now, with the structure 2010 is known for resolving into mature Pinot Noir. Decant and enjoy over the next several years.
