David Croix took over the Domaine des Croix project in Beaune with the mission of making serious, terroir-driven Burgundy that can compete with the best names on the Côte de Beaune. Les Tuvilains is a well-positioned Premier Cru in Beaune — structured, savory, and capable of considerable age. The 2021 vintage was cool and classic in Burgundy: high acidity, firm tannins, and a precision that rewards patience. David Croix's wines are increasingly recognized among the Côte de Beaune's most exciting — if you haven't found them yet, Tuvilains is a fine entry point.

If you aren't with familiar with Domaine des Croix, there is one thing you should know: we love David Croix! He begin his winemaking career straight out of viticulture school when he took over the reigns at Camille Giroud (as well as working with Guy Roulot), when he was just 24 years old. In 2016 he quit his day job to focus entirely on his own small domaine, which he purchased back in 2005.
