Romain Guiberteau transformed his family's estate (including the Clos des Carmes, considered a grand cru by legendary gourmet Curnonsky) into the reference for serious Saumur. Hand-harvested, whole-cluster pressed, fermented with ambient yeast, bottled without fining. The 2024 from Tuffeau chalk soils shows electric linearity—green apple, quince, crushed rock with bright, nervy acidity. This is the thinking drinker's Saumur Blanc, normally found only in Michelin-starred restaurants. A rare opportunity for European minerality and complexity without the Chablis price point.
