Domaine Daniel Rion farms across the Cote de Nuits from its base in Premeaux, with roots in Vosne where the family began with a small parcel from Daniel's grandfather. This village Vosne-Romanee carries the commune's reputation for perfume and spice in a more accessible package than its famous Grand Crus. The 2006 is now mature, the fruit turned savory and the structure softened into an easygoing, ready-to-drink Burgundy. A lovely way to taste aged Vosne without the Grand Cru tariff. Decant before serving.
