Fontaine-Gagnard is among Chassagne's most consistent addresses — twelve hectares run since 2007 by Céline Fontaine, with ten Chassagne Premier Crus and a stake in Montrachet itself. This Bourgogne Blanc punches above its appellation, drawing on declassified Chassagne juice and farming attention you'd expect on the village wines. The 2024 has a clean, light orchard-fruit nose, bright acidity, and a polish that pulls it within touching distance of the village Chassagne — a hint of white chocolate on the close. A great way to drink the house style without committing to a 1er Cru, and a versatile Chardonnay for the table.
