Old-vine Chambolle-Musigny from a Gevrey house that brings real Cote de Nuits substance to this famously perfumed commune. Geantet-Pansiot's Vieilles Vignes draws on the estate's older Chambolle plantings, and the Geantets' generous, fruit-driven style adds weight and depth to Chambolle's natural silk and lift. Vincent and Fabien farm without herbicides or chemical fertilizers, letting the village's red-fruited elegance come through. From the small, concentrated 2012 vintage, it is entering a lovely drinking window. A village Chambolle with grand-cru neighbors' charm.
