"The NV Brut Rosa Délice Côte des Noirs Premier Cru is a blend of 70% Chardonnay from Chigny-les-Roses with 20% Pinot Noir white base wine and 10% red Pinot Noir, the latter from a solera of red wine harvested in Bouzy that goes back to 2014. Ripe Red Delicious apple with a floral overtone and crumbly sweet shortcrust pastry announce creaminess and mellowness in equal measure. Further sniffs almost verge on cinnamon-scented Viennoiserie. The palate is unashamedly generous and rich with mellow, creamy Pinot Noir fruit. The mousse is fine; the freshness gets a boost from the slightly nutty phenolic edge, while vivid juiciness makes the mouth water. Yes, this is bold and rich, but it is also measured - a quintessential Pinot that will do better at the table." —Antonio Galloni
