Charmes is one of Meursault's largest and most celebrated premier crus, and Domaine Henri Germain produces one of the finest expressions. Founded in 1973, the domaine expanded through strategic family marriages into Meursault and Chassagne royalty (Pillot, Jobard). Today Jean-François Germain farms organically, maintains low yields, and bottles unfined and unfiltered with minimal new oak (20-30%). The result is Meursault of remarkable purity: honeyed and nutty with floral overtones, generous on the palate yet lifted by mineral freshness. The 2023 vintage delivers ripe, aromatic fruit with excellent balance.
