Chambolle-Musigny is Burgundy's village for perfume — Pinot Noir here tends toward delicacy and floral aromatic precision rather than the muscle of Gevrey or the richness of Vosne. Hudelot-Baillet is a small family estate with holdings in some of Chambolle's best parcels; Dominique Le Guen runs the domaine today, joined by his son Tanguy, with the same careful approach the family has maintained for generations. The Vieilles Vignes designation signals older-vine fruit from across their Chambolle holdings — deeper concentration, more complex expression, a step above the standard village bottling. The 2023 vintage was excellent in Burgundy: ripe, clean, and showing the kind of floral precision that makes Chambolle so special.
