Saumur Chenin from a quietly excellent grower with serious Loire credentials. Isabelle Suire took over her family's 17-hectare estate in 2007, converted to organic farming under the mentorship of her neighbor and friend Romain Guiberteau, and built a reputation as one of the appellation's most precise hands with Chenin Blanc. Made from 100% Chenin grown on Saumur's classic tuffeau limestone, this is a serious, dry, mineral-driven white in the Guiberteau orbit — a kindred spirit, made independently. The kind of Loire Chenin that punches well above its station and rewards a few hours of air in the glass.

Tasting Profile

Quince, yellow apple, white flowers, and beeswax over a chalky, saline core. Dry and medium-bodied, with cut acidity, lanolin texture, and a long stony finish.
