A Savigny premier cru from Les Lavieres, one of the village's classic sites, made by a seventh-generation family with deep roots in this corner of the Cote de Beaune. Girard farms across many appellations around Savigny-les-Beaune, and the premier crus are the heart of the red range, raised in Burgundian oak with a measured hand. 2012 was a small, concentrated vintage that gave dense, structured Pinot Noir from low yields. Well over a decade on, this has settled into a savory maturity. Honest, terroir-driven Burgundy that drinks above its station.
