If you want to taste the Alps in a glass, start here. Apremont sits in the Combe de Chambery in Savoie, where Jacquere grows on clay-limestone scree below craggy peaks, and Jean Perrier et Fils have farmed these slopes across seven generations since 1853. The "Gastronomie" cuvee is 100% Jacquere, hand-harvested, cold-settled and fermented in stainless steel to keep everything fresh and pure. At just 11.5% alcohol it's light, low-key and endlessly drinkable, the kind of bottle made for a long lunch rather than a big statement. A fresh 2025 to drink young and cold.

More about Jean Perrier et Fils

Seven generations of the Perrier family have worked the Alpine slopes of Savoie since 1853, producing wines from a landscape most people assume is too high, too cool. Yet their Apremont, Roussette, and Mondeuse showcase terroir with surprising depth. A regional masterclass in doing more with less.
