Cote de Nuits-Villages is one of Burgundy's great hunting grounds for value, and Jerome Galeyrand is exactly the kind of grower who proves it. A former food-industry worker with no family vines, he taught himself the trade alongside Alain Burguet in Gevrey and now farms organically and biodynamically, working his juice with native yeasts and barely-there sulfur. This old-vine bottling comes from the appellation's southern stretch and now carries a decade-plus of age. A 2013 from a cooler, classically-styled vintage, it's mature and ready, so decant and drink over the next few years.
