This is a unique tequila in many ways — the distiller is female, as is most of her staff. They only make a reposado tequila, which they age in old Jack Daniels barrels (they occasionally lend these out to other distillerias to ensure that there's no cloying oak notes to their very elegant, light-bodied and colored tequila).
I like it in a classic margarita, but its distinct agave character will lend a savory, funky quality to a number of other cocktails, and it's the rare tequila I could see myself sipping over ice.
The last very cool detail? The bottles are all made from recycled Mexican glass (often old Coca Cola bottles), and hand blown — and they're downright gorgeous.
