A village-level Savigny Rouge from one of Burgundy's most exciting young estates. Le Puy de l'Ours was founded in 2019 by Juliette Puyperoux and Jean Orsoni — combine their surnames and you get the playful name. Working organically (AB-certified as of 2023) on 7.5 hectares around Savigny-les-Beaune, the couple makes wines that feel pure, unforced, and entirely modern. Les Follettes is a Pinot Noir drawn from a patchwork of lieux-dits (including Petits Picotins and Aux Fourches) on clay-limestone, fermented with a portion of whole clusters and raised in barrel for around a year. Expect bright red-berry fruit, fine spice, and the cool-toned lift that defines great Savigny.

Tasting Notes & Food Pairings

Perfect Pairings

Made for the classic Burgundy table: roast duck breast, mushroom risotto, coq au vin, or a board of Comté and saucisson. Equally happy alongside grilled salmon, charcuterie boards, or a wedge of soft, washed-rind cheese.

Tasting Profile

Bright raspberry and red cherry leading into rose petal, gentle baking spice, and a savory herbal twist from whole-cluster fermentation. Medium-bodied with juicy acidity, fine-grained tannins, and that cool, mineral Savigny finish — lifted and unforced.
