A structured, powerful Chianti Classico from the southern reaches of the zone, where the iron- and limestone-rich Galestro Rosso soil gives Sangiovese real muscle. Lecci e Brocchi sits in Castelnuovo Berardenga, just north of Montalcino, and the family farms organically and works in a deliberately old-school cellar - ambient fermentation, gentle maceration, and neutral oak that lets the site speak rather than the barrel. The 1970-founded estate has been run by Sabrina Lastrucci since her father handed it over, and the wines have a savory, mineral grip that sets them apart from prettier, fruitier Chianti. This is a back-vintage bottle now carrying some mature, secondary complexity. A serious, food-loving red for fans of traditional Tuscany.
