A Lebanese white with serious French DNA. Massaya was founded in the Beqaa Valley by brothers Sami and Ramzi Ghosn, who brought in heavyweight partners from the Rhône (the Brunier family of Vieux Télégraphe) and Bordeaux (Hubert de Boüard of Château Angélus) to help shape the estate. The Blanc leans on Lebanon's indigenous Obeideh alongside Clairette, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chardonnay — a blend that splits the difference between Mediterranean roundness and Middle Eastern lift. Vinified at the Faqra winery and rested on lees for several months before bottling, the wine balances white-flower aromatics with peach and citrus, depth tempered by mountain-altitude freshness. A reminder that the Beqaa, at over 1,000 meters, makes some of the most distinctive whites in the eastern Mediterranean.

Lebanese wine from the Beqaa Valley—made possible because two brothers and a pair of French wine families decided that rebuilding a country's wine tradition was worth the gamble. Sami and Ramzi Ghosn partnered with Châteauneuf-du-Pape's Bruniers and Saint-Émilion's Hebrards to craft Grenache-based reds that prove Lebanon's terroir is as serious as the region's history is complicated.

Tasting Profile

Medium-bodied and aromatic. White flowers and orange blossom lead into peach, ripe lemon, and a touch of honey. Crisp acidity, a saline-mineral edge from the limestone soils, and a long, gently rounded finish.
