Classical Kakhetian amber wine from Giorgi Dakishvili — among the most respected names in Georgian winemaking — and his son Temur. Orgo sources Rkatsiteli from old estate vines of fifty years or more in Kakheti, the country's eastern wine heartland. The wine ferments and ages on its skins in qvevri, the buried clay amphorae that Georgians have used for some six thousand years, for roughly six months. Skin contact runs the full duration. This is not a trendy orange wine — it is the model the trend was reaching for: dry, structured, deeply savory, with phenolic grip from extended maceration and the textural depth that only qvevri seems to give. A reference-point bottle for anyone curious about why amber wine matters.
