Muncagota, the cru formerly known as Moccagatta, is one of Produttori del Barbaresco's most balanced single vineyards, marrying intensity with real elegance. The 2013 is a classic, structured vintage, giving the wine brighter acidity and firmer tannins than the warmer 2011 and a longer road ahead. It's already showing well with a decant, but there's clear upside to a few more years in the cellar. Produttori bottles these Riservas only when the vintage earns the extra aging. A poised, terroir-forward Barbaresco.
