A trophy bottling from one of Barolo's most famous modernists, made in tiny quantities and released exclusively in magnum, the format Roberto Voerzio considers ideal for long aging. From his base in La Morra, Voerzio draws this Riserva from old vines in the prized Capalot and Brunate crus, farming for radically low yields and aging the wine in barrique before extended time in bottle. The 2000 vintage has had over two decades to unwind, softening its considerable power into the tar, rose, and dried-cherry complexity that great mature Nebbiolo delivers. A collector's Barolo at a special stage of maturity.
