Brent Mayeaux got his start with a harvest on the far Sonoma coast, and Dust in the Tides is his coastal Pinot Noir homecoming. Grown a stone's throw from the Pacific, it's a small-lot Sonoma Pinot made in Stagiaire's zero-zero natural style, destemmed, given a long soak on the skins, and aged about a year in barrel with nothing added. The result leans dark and dense rather than delicate, a Pinot with a little grit and salt air in it. Fog, wind, and honest winemaking in a glass.
