The Vinothek Reserve is Tement's library-release Zieregg — a barrel selection from the very best lots of the historic Sieben Reihen (seven rows) parcel, planted on coralline limestone and blue marl, aged 36 months sur lie in neutral oak before bottling. This is the family's most prestigious Sauvignon Blanc, a wine of crystalline tension and stunning textural depth rather than fruit alone — what the Tements call liquid stone. Aging potential runs to 25 years and beyond; the wine is just entering its first window. Worth every minute it has spent under cork, and every minute you'll spend with it.

"Dense, ripe and tight on the nose, the 2019 Ried Zieregg Sauvignon Blanc is surprisingly cool and elegant yet aromatic. Dense and taut yet very elegant and balanced on the palate, this is a compact, salty and persistently complex Sauvignon classic from the Zieregg, but perhaps also as akin in essence to the Grassnitzberg as is otherwise rare (or at all). It still needs an enormous amount of time. 13% stated alcohol. Glass stopper."
