Vincent Ledy is a cult figure of the Cote de Nuits who built his domaine from scratch, cutting his teeth at Domaine Lecheneaut and making his first vintages in his garage. He's a master of the 'infusion' style: terrified of new oak, he leans on whole-cluster fermentation, native yeasts and near-zero sulfur, gently steeping the fruit like tea. This Savigny-les-Beaune comes from one of the Cote de Beaune's classic, well-priced villages and shows Ledy's signature transparency and gentle touch. The 2012 has plenty of age on it now, so it's settled and savory. Drink it rather than cellar it.
