Women Winemaker Tastings: This Weekend!

Women Winemaker Tastings: This Weekend!

March is Womens' History Month, so we are kicking things off right. This week in the shop we are highlighting some of our favorite women-winemakers. Stop by the shop on either Thursday or Friday evening, or Saturday afternoon to taste through some terrific wines!

Winemaking is definitely still a boys' club. But, some of our very favorite wines are made by the talented women who work hard to break ground on their own vineyards.

Swing by to celebrate great wine and talented women! As always, the wines we are tasting will be 15% off for newsletter subscribers.

Thursday, March 5th from 5-7pm

The US wine scene has seen a boom of women winemakers in the last few years. Whether their focus is on Chardonnay in the Mountains of Oregon or natural Cab Franc in California, these three women have made some of our favorite wines of the year. Come share a glass and toast these American women!

We'll be tasting:

Statera Cellars, Chardonnay Synergy Chehalem Mountains, 2017

Inconnu, Lalalu Cabernet Franc, 2018

A Tribute to Grace Wine Company, Grenache Vie Caprice Vineyard, 2016

Friday, March 6th from 5-7

Women are rising up, even in traditional winemaking settings. For long enough, fathers left their vines to sons. We're highlighting some of the Old World wines that we are crazy about...that happen to be made by three totally baddass women.

We'll be tasting:

Arianna Occhipinti, IGT Bianco SP68, 2018

Anne-Sophie Dubois, Fleurie "Les Labourons", 2018

Domaine Aleofane, Saint-Joseph, 2017

Saturday, March 7th from 2-4

It's your last chance to taste three stellar wines by three amazing winemaking women! Stop by this afternoon to try a wine! Take home for dinner! Pop one early and sip all day! Sneak a bottle into the park! Once again we are featuring wines that have been very carefully made by brilliant women!

We'll be tasting:

Castell' In Villa, Chianti Classico, 2015

Domaine Ruet, Chiroubles “La Fontanelle”, 2017
