"The Caprili 2024 Rosso di Montalcino shows fleeting aromas of apple cider and raspberry that give the wine an unsettled edge, though at its best, it offers quick, uncomplicated drinking with a bitter almond note on the close. The wine does not feel entirely stable. Fermented in stainless steel and aged briefly for nine months in barrel using fruit from the estate’s youngest vines under 15 years old, this bottling is intended to emphasize early approachability, with total production reaching 40,000 bottles." -Monica Larner

Sourced from the Testucchiaia and Palazzetto vineyards.
Orientation
Testucchiaia is at 320m in elevation and Palazzetto is at 220m.
Soil
The soil is a mix of sand, clay and limestone in varying amounts depending on vineyard location.
Viticulture
Hand-harvested.
Vinification
Spontaneous fermentation and maceration for three weeks in stainless steel.
Aging
Aged nine months in large, Slavonian oak barrels. Followed by at least a few months in the bottle before the wine's release.
