Clusel‑Roch’s La Bergerie is a new project from this Northern Rhone legend, and it's Aligote grown in the Macon! It is labeled as Vin de France because the actual wine-making occurs in C-R's cellar in Ampuis (i.e. outside of Burgundy).

Guillaume Clusel continues a family legacy that began in 1969 on the steep granite slopes of Ampuis. His six hectares of Syrah in Côte-Rôtie are farmed organically; his half-hectare of Viognier in Condrieu sits on biotite granite and yields wines of mineral precision. Whole-bunch fermentation and natural practices preserve the fragrance. This is Northern Rhône doing what it does best.
