Abbatucci is the reference point for biodynamic Corsican wine, and Faustine is the cuvee that shows you why without asking you to spend a fortune. This is the white, 100% Vermentinu (the Corsican name for Vermentino) from roughly 40-year-old vines on granite soils near Ajaccio. Jean-Charles Abbatucci is a fierce guardian of the island's native grapes, and everything here is certified biodynamic. The wine is fermented and aged in stainless steel on its lees for about six months, with no oak, so it stays fresh and precise. Named for Abbatucci's daughter, it's built to be drunk young and often.
