Reuilly's secret: when you make rosé from Pinot Gris, the pink comes from the grape itself. Denis Jamain's family has farmed here since 1935, and he converted the estate to organics in 2007 and biodynamics in 2011. Pinot Gris in Reuilly is vinified as a pale, dry rosé — the grape's naturally pink-tinged skins given a brief maceration, the result a color that wouldn't look out of place in Provence but a profile that's entirely Loire. The 2025 has just landed: floral and gently spiced on the nose, with gooseberry, peach, dried apricot, and citrus peel; bone dry through the palate. Salmon-pink, savory, and structured enough for the table — Provence drinkers, this is your detour.
