Pinot Noir from the high country above the Côte de Nuits, by a top Chambolle hand. Domaine Felettig — now in its second generation under Gilbert and Christine Felettig — sources this Hautes-Côtes de Nuits from a small plot called Les Mouchettes in the village of Villers-la-Faye, on the plateau above the Côte de Nuits between Beaune and Nuits-Saint-Georges. Cooler elevation means later ripening, fresher acidity, and a lighter footprint than the famous slopes — but Felettig's Chambolle restraint translates here too. Whole-cluster portion in vinification, classical élevage. Cherry-and-spice Burgundy at a price that lets you actually drink it on a Tuesday. The 2023s are open and friendly out of the gate.
