Premier Cru Chambolle from a small, finesse-driven Morey estate. Domaine Stephane Magnien works just a few hectares in Morey-Saint-Denis, using restrained oak and gentle extraction to make expressive, complex wines with real delicacy. Les Sentiers is a Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru on the boundary with Morey, known for the silky perfume Chambolle is famous for. The 2015 was a rich, ripe vintage that adds flesh and structure to this elegant cru, so it's drinking well now with room to keep. A relatively under-the-radar source of well-priced Cote de Nuits Pinot Noir.
