An Etna grape grown a hundred miles from the volcano - and named for a grandmother's rose garden. Feudo Montoni sits in the highlands of Cammarata in central-western Sicily, where the Sireci family has farmed since 1469. Fabio Sireci's father planted Nerello Mascalese here decades ago - hand-grafted from wild vines, now over thirty years old, organic, dry-farmed, at roughly 600 meters. The cuvée takes its name from the rose garden Fabio's father Elio dedicated to his wife Adele. The pale, onion-skin rosé sees six months on lees in cement with bâtonnage, picking up texture and salinity without losing the variety's quick-fingered lift. A serious Sicilian rosato for people who think rosé is a category, not a season.

More about Feudo Montoni

Feudo Montoni sits isolated on Sicily's high terrain, so isolated that phylloxera never arrived. The vines are own-rooted and some are hundreds of years old. Massal selection cuttings come only from their own vineyards. The terroir—high altitude, cold nights, sandy soils, ancient roots—gives their Nero d'Avola and whites real freshness, elegance, and minerality.

Tasting Notes & Food Pairings

Perfect Pairings

Drink with grilled swordfish, caponata, pasta alla norma, salt-baked sea bream, octopus salad, or aged pecorino with honey. Holds up nicely to a little chile heat and pairs well with charcuterie too.

Tasting Profile

Pale onion-skin pink with bronze tints. Rose petal, violet, pomegranate, blood orange, wild strawberry, fennel seed, and sea brine. Medium-bodied with a lightly grippy texture, dry, savory palate, and a persistent, mineral, salt-tinged finish.
